Only 4% in the age group 18-44 which is fully included in PMR so far

Pune: Vaccination data from the Metropolitan Pune (PMR) region revealed on Saturday that only 4% of 48.26 Lakh populations in the age group 18-44 were fully vaccinated so far, making them eligible for a number of relaxation permitted by the state permitted by the state of the government.
Dr.
Subhash Salunke, the state technical advisor in Covid, told Tii, “Only 4% of the second dose coverage in the age group is very low.
This will not happen if there is an adequate number of vaccines supplied from the center, considering vaccination for this age group begins In May 1.
“He said many beneficiaries were still hesitant to get Jab paid from the private vaccination site, even though those were due and able to buy shots that had to get the second dose as soon as possible.
“Covishield prices, the majority of people take, are much lower than other vaccines on personal sites and should not be blocked for those who are capable.
It costs a small cost to get protection against Covid-19,” said Dr.
Salunke.
Data shows that starting August 1-21, daily vaccination has touched or passed 50,000 only a few days at PMR.
The lack of vaccines in government centers has caused the city body to suspend vaccination on several days in August.
Officials said that almost 2.5 doses of the lakh vaccine are currently lying not used with the private sector because demand for paid jab dropped.
Dr.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, told TII, “The age group began to get JAB in June.
So, many second doses are waiting in this segment, almost 80%.
Nearly 10% of people take the second dose right Time.
The rest continues to put it in the future.
To speed up the second dose, we now give priority to the second dose recipient, with 70% jab in the vaccination site allocated for those who are due, and the rest is up to the first dose holder.
“Dr.
Salunke said the para Experts hope that the state will achieve a full vaccination of at least 50% of the population that qualifies in September.
But the numbers that are fully vaccinated are still very low, which can create problems.
“The low center inventory is solely to blame over the situation, while the state government has tried to use all the possibilities of the dosage received,” he said.
He said experts had made a doubling recommendation to the state government – accelerating vaccination and increased supervision of fever cases, Ili, Sari and the case of mutations in a situation that applies when cases are on the bottom side.
