Patna: In a month, only half of the targeted population aged 15 to 17 years has been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the state.
Although the government intends to immunize the maximum number of teenagers who may arrive until January 26, especially those who sit for matriculation and intermediary exams, data shows that 50.76% have received their vaccines.
India began to vaccinate teenagers from January 3, 2022.
On Wednesday afternoon, almost 42.37 lakh of them had been inoculated, according to the data available on the Cowin portal.
When asked about the slow vaccination rate, the executive director of the additional state health community, Anesh Kumar Parasar, stated that they were conducting a survey of door to the door to ensure the number of recipients set 15 to 17 in Bihar.
