Chandrapur: City Chandrapur on Wednesday was abandoned with only eight Covid patients, seven of them in isolation, thanks to “effective implementation” of the chain break.
Two patients were in institutional quarantine while one was received at a private hospital.
Officials at Chandrapur Municipal Corporation, however, warn that even though the situation can now be seen as breath, the guard cannot be disappointed.
According to statistics, the test of 2.58 lakh covid has been carried out since the emergence of pandemics in the city.
Of these, 2.32 lakh has been found negative, while 25,587 was tested positively.
This virus has claimed 435 lives, while 25,144 patients have recovered so far in the city.
The Mayor of Rakhi Kancharalwar claims that the civil body has taken strict steps and offers extensive services for isolation, testing, treatment and vaccination.
While seven Covid testing centers run in the city, CMC also offers extensive institutional quarantine facilities in the academic and military school forests.
“Thanks to the effective implementation of restrictions set by the state government, this city has a good recovery rate between June and August.
While there are 4,468 active patients at the end of April, that number has dropped to only eight now,” Kancharlar said.
Toll remains zero for the last 15 days in the city.
“Extensive vaccination drive has helped curb Covid cases.
About 1.05 Lakh people in the city have been vaccinated with the first dose, while 45,000 have taken the second dose of vaccines,” said an officer in the CMC health department.
The mayor warned that even though Covid restrictions had diminished in the city, people should not assume that Coronavirus was fully defeated.
He appealed to citizens to maintain the appropriate Covid behavior and followed the direction issued by the Administration.
