Only walk-in in the environmental centers from today: BMC

Mumbai: Public Vaccination will continue on Thursday with BMC receiving a dose of 1.05 lakh.
In important development, BMC has announced that vaccination will only go through a walk-in in the community level centers in Mumbai.
Of the 314 public vaccination centers in the city, a total of 270 are in 227 constituencies, or at the community level.
All of these centers will now allow walk-in for residents over the age of 18.
In the remaining centers located in hospitals such as Sevenhills, KEM, Cooper, etc., vaccination will continue to 50% through registration and 50% through a walk-in.

Mangala Gomare, BMC Executive Health Officer said the decision to allow 100% walk-in for environmental level centers followed complaints from the Canporator that people from outside the city got shots by ordering online slots, while the locals did not understand the net.

Pregnant women, students who go abroad for education, citizens go for jobs / business abroad will continue to be vaccinated only in the centers designated for them.
Important, 70% of the dose will be intended for the second shot recipient while 30% for those who come for the first dose.
