Guwahati: Following the killings of two people in Manipur polls three days ago, Minister Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma on Wednesday said Thes to ensure elections and police.

Obviously we must be more alert.” He stated that there would be a challenge before security forces to ensure elections and fair in Manipur.
“I feel the electoral commission and police must ensure proper security protection,” BJP senior leader added.
Two men, including Indian Personnel Reserve Battalion (IRB), were shot dead in the Western District District of Manipur on Sunday night.
One of them is active BJP members and work for the Minister of Agriculture, while others are also supporters of the Safron Party and work for it in the area.
Chief Minister for Biren Singh has visited the victims’ families the following day and said it was “an attack on BJP supporters and the government would not be silent until the perpetrators were arrested.” In the BJP minister stopped at the party at Uttar Pradesh before the state poll in the northern state, Sarma said, “Before the election, anyone who knows they will not get a party ticket, change their affiliation.”
