Mumbai: When the state government finally allows train trips daily from Sunday, the station witnesses a slight increase in a hurry.
Officials said a single travel ticket request would likely rise from Monday.
In direction to the train to enable daily tickets, the Secretary of the Principal of the Gupta ASHEAD from the state disaster management authority said that from now on full vaccination is the only mandatory condition for the issuance of all types of tickets for local travel and passengers.
Mission Gupta said it would be the responsibility of the train to ensure only vaccinated people traveling by train, regardless of whether tourists came from the service sector that was essential or not important.
The letter to the Division train manager said: “Even though only people who are fully vaccinated are permitted to travel using a monthly path, many citizens demand that travel using daily tickets.
Because some people need to travel through local trains and the absence of permission to travel With daily tickets, the tendency to travel without a legitimate ticket has increased and this also leads to the non-compliance of tourist needs to be fully vaccinated.
As a result, the train faces a big loss in income and is more dangerous than the point of view of the spread of Covid-19 cases.
“Therefore It has been decided to allow all who are fully vaccinated according to the state’s definition of the state to travel by local trains.
All residents who are fully vaccinated can travel by local trains and passengers on all routes and through all types of tickets, including daily tickets.
“Last week, there were several complaints from passengers from important service categories – government staff, people in the medical and related fields, and others like that – that they could not buy tickets because the train had made it mandatory to go for a monthly path.
Now , anyone can show a double vaccine or universal pass certificate and get a ticket, which is expected to substantially reduce the incidence of travel without a ticket.
Subhash Gupta from Rail Yatri Parishad said letting a daily ticket was a very awaited decision.
“We have struggled for daily tickets Over the past two months.
This will not only lead to increasing passengers gradually but will also provide benefits for commuter cross sections, “he said.
