Written by news2in

Thiruvananthapuram: The recently-constituted Sree Narayanaguru Open University is not likely to begin offering classes anytime soon.
Even since the college has ready the courseware of all 20 distance education classes for the UGC endorsement, the commission is to open the program enrollment portal this season.
The university police said they weren’t in a position to state when the varsity could begin offering classes.
“The enrollment is a necessity and we are prepared to finish the process.
However, the UGC hasn’t reopened the enrollment gateway following last November or so.
Ours becoming a new college, the UGC would provide clearance for those classes only after going to the faculty and assessing the centers we’ve organized,” they stated.
Consequent to the creation of this open school, the state authorities had removed the aid of other state universities to provide distance education classes and also confidential enrollment.
There have been allegations that the very first Pinarayi Vijayan authorities had set up the faculty, causing hardships for tens of thousands of students looking for higher education from distance education style.
Conserve Education Campaign Committee has filed a memorandum to chief ministry Pinarayi Vijayan and greater education minister R Bindhu to intervene quickly to ensure a huge part of students aren’t deprived of a opportunity to pursue higher education.
“One of people who pass Two exam at the country, about one lakh pupils elect for distance education style of higher education.
Considering that the government has removed in the nation universities the right to provide distance education classes, they’re likely to combine classes provided by universities in different nations.
Since no additional nations having open universities has eliminated their country universities from providing parallel schooling centers, the state authorities must promptly issue an order to rescind the private right handed to Sree Narayanaguru Open University for providing distance education classes in the country,” the campaign committee’s memorandum stated.
Observing an identical imbroglio, this past year the state authorities had granted specific permission to Kerala and also Calicut universities to provide distance education.
