Noida: Some city schools opened back for grade 9 to 12 on Monday after more than four weeks of gap see a large amount of around 25-30% even when private schools have not continued physical class.
Physical class throughout Gautam Budh Nagar was suspended after the state government, on January 5, announced the closure of schools and other educational institutions from 6 to 23 January in the district which recorded more than 1,000 Koronavirus infections.
Then extended until January 30 and then until February 6 and the school was asked to do an online class.
On Saturday, the state government allowed all schools to continue the physical class for the 8th to 12 standards, Dharamveer Singh, said the school district inspector.
Students to 8th grade, however, are permitted to continue with offline classes.
Neeraj Awafy, Principal of Sector 12’s Modern School, told the offline class toI continued in two shifts – 8am to 11am and from 11:30 to 3pm for all classes.
“We expect the presence to take in the coming days,” he said.
According to district officials, the presence is expected to pick up post-February 10 which occurred after the first phase of the election of the State Assembly when the three elections in the district will throw ballots.
There are 152 secondary schools from the district attached to the board while 215 private schools are under the CBSE board and ISC.
However, most private schools have not started offline classes and citing the upcoming council examination and continuing teen vaccination as a reason for delay.
The Principal of Noida’s Amity International School Renu Singh told TII that offline classes for students 9 to 12 will begin on Tuesday.
A spokesman from the Shiv Nadar School in Sector 168 said the physical class had not been continued.
“It will start from February 14 for Junior Wing and from February 21 for senior students,” Toi spokesman said.
