Open temple for navratri under strict rules

New Delhi: The 9-day Navratri celebration began at temples in Delhi on Thursday with the Covid-19 protocol mandated by the government.
The temple authority said they had made provisions for the right sanitization of the place and to ensure social distance among visitors.
“Our temple has Lakh visitors during Navratri, which is why we will allow two thousand visitors at the same time to ensure the right social distance.” The worshipers will be allowed to do ‘Darshan’ from outside the main temple area.
Exit and incoming points have been clearly limited and visitors will be expected to attend the designated route in the temple, “said Surendra Nath, Imam Chief of the Kalkaji Temple.
The Delhi Government last week allowed the reopening of religious places in the city with strict compliance with Covid’s guidelines -19 and standard operating procedures.
In Birla Mandir also, the celebration is being held in the midst of a tight Covid-19 protocol.
“We have talked to the police and all types of preventive measures instructed by the government are being followed.
Sanitization facilities will be available at the gate, and no worshipers will be permitted without a mask.

Religious places in the national capital are closed for worshipers since April 19 under locking imposed because of the severe wave of Coronavirus infection.
