Lucknow: National Secretary General of Congress Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Friday that he might make his election debut by fighting in the selection of assembly top, but he should not be seen as a party candidate for CM posts.
He told the NDTV News Channel that fighting for up-up elections has been considered and internal discussion.
“When there is a consensus, we will tell you,” Priyanka said, the Congress was responsible for 2019.
At a press conference to launch the party’s young man’s manifesto that day, he said that he was the party’s face on the top.
“Do you see other faces from the Congress? Then? Dikh Raha Hai Na Sab Kagah Mera Chehra (my face can be seen everywhere),” he said in response to the question if he was a face of cm.
Priyanka, however, told NDTV then that his remarks “tongue-in-cheek” because every second question he asked was about this.
“Between me, UPCC Head Ajay Lalloo and CLP leader (Aradhna Mishra), we lead the effort above.
But it is not possible that we will officially announce this face or face,” he said.
“I am the Secretary General (party) Uttar Pradesh.
And responsibility is mine, and I deal with it.” He also signaled the willingness of Congress for every post-polling alliance in the assembly case that was hung, but with a condition.
“If such a situation appears, the decision will be taken accordingly.
But if we do it, we will definitely want our agenda for teenagers and women, especially women, to be fulfilled if we will be part of such a dispensation,” Priyanka said.
The cut under his leadership has reached voter women and has also decided to protect women at 40% of the party contest chair in this year’s poll.
