Opinion is divided into the cu cet route to Delhi University

New Delhi: With the University of Delhi chose the university of the general entry test (CU-CET), academics remained divided into implementation.
Although most agreed that the initial problem that jumped from cutoff signs for achievement-based acceptance would be handled, they added that new modes would come with a series of its own limits.
Du Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh on Saturday told the Toi that the University would continue with CU-CET, which will be carried out by the National Test Agency.
Many argue that switch between courses during reception, which is a general practice, may prove difficult under new modes.
Saying that every system has the pros and cons, Sanjay Batra, Professor in Sri Venkateswara College, said, “While students will get an equivalent platform to prove themselves, the entrance will have their own limits.
Under the performance-based system, students can switch from One subject to another, while the entrance should be specific to the subject.
This is a big question that needs to be addressed.
“However, Gyantosh Jha, Principal Arsd College, said the entrance would end the trend of excess acceptance in certain courses and colleges.
“Several times, acceptance under an irregular achievement-based system.
Cu-cet can end the uncertainty.
The demand for each subject will be different and I am sure some counseling modes will be designed.
This will provide opportunities for students who have a low score in the Board exam, “He added.
Considering a large number of courses and colleges, the lack of clarity in the right structure and the counseling process has left a lot of hope for clearer guidelines.
Du Professor Rajesh Jha said, “Under the current centralized system, seats in several universities remain empty.
There are 56 colleges and every year around 75,000 receipts occur.
How is the University plan to share and advise with many permutations and combinations? Universities do not Taking into account these things or involving teachers in the process.
“The former member of the Executive Board added,” If a large number of students scored 100%, then it was for policy makers to take care of these general marking.
Approach one measure for all this will be counterproductive.
” The others say the entrance is bound to end by mushrooming the training center.
While Jha shows that “advertisements have begun to appear” and it will affect them from the marginalized background, said Batra while the entrance will provide space for such centers, it may not be on the scale of other competitive exams.
SP Aggarwal, Principal Ramanujan College said, “With all types of entrances, the growth of the coaching center will definitely occur.
But there is a positive and negative for everything.
All this year, the board sign is a problem.
Now, the format exactly cu-cet hasn’t come out.
It takes time to measure the problem.
