Gurgaon: More than 20 employees from various spas operating throughout the city have been arrested in the last 10 days for violating locking orders.
The police said they had received complaints that the spa did not follow the guidelines issued by the government and operate beyond 8:00.
According to the guideline, the spa has been allowed to open from 6am to 8pm with appropriate protection.
After several complaints, the police have formed four teams to check spa operations throughout the city.
Police Commissioner KK Rao said the guidelines had been issued and all of these facilities had been directed to maintain records and did not indulge themselves in any illegal activities.
“The action has been taken against the spa found to violate the guidelines and operate outside the specified time,” he said.
All Gurgaon police stations have been directed to prepare a list of spas in their jurisdiction and check them regularly.
The police have been directed to conduct random checks to ensure the spa follows all the guidelines.
KOPS will also verify the staff deployed in the spa and anyone found work without verification will also be ordered, said an officer.
