Chandigarh: Confusion applies to the resignation of the Punjab Advocate General (AG) APS Deol after the report appeared on Monday that he had submitted his resignation.
While AG cannot be contacted because the phone continues to be busy until the archiving of this report, his son, recommended HPS Deol, told TI that the report on his father’s resignation was not true.
There is no official confirmation from the state government about Deol’s resignation.
The Punjab government has told the appointment of AdvocoCe APS Deol Senior as Punjab AG on September 27.
He has replaced Senior Advocate Atul Nanda, who has resigned after the resignation of captain Amarinder Singh as Punjab cm.
General Advocates are the most senior legal officers of the state and enjoy the rank of equivalent to the Minister of Cabinet.
There has been a slugfest political drawn by Deol’s appointment by the Congress government led by Charanjit Singh Channi.
The president of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu openly opposed two promises with his own party government – namely DGP and DGP Baru, Iqbal Preeth Singh Sahota.
Sidhu even resigned on September 28 in protest and then raised the problem with the party leader Rahul Gandhi on October 15, the Behbal shot incident was related to the cases of Punjab Cosrilege.
