New Delhi: Opposition leaders on Thursday met the chairman of Rajya Sabha M Venkaiiah Naidu to tell him about the incident yesterday in the upper house.
The opposition was forced to protest on Wednesday as Bill General Insurance Business Amendment (Nationalization), 2021 was taken to be considered at home.
They accused the government not to follow parliamentary norms and “bulldoze” law.
The Insurance Business Amendment Bill (Nationalization) was taken after the upper house unanimously issued a constitutional amendment bill to enable the state to prepare their own OBC list.
Previously on that day, opposition leaders held a meeting at the Opposition Leader Office (LOP) at Rajya Sabha Malikarjun Kharge to discuss the alleged manutan of women in the upper house on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Rajya Sabha was postponed Sine Die, two days before the scheduled conclusion.
The opposition has also protested and forced the delay in their other demands including investigations on suspicion allegations through spyware pegasus and withdrawing three agricultural laws.
