Mumbai: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in the estimated Wise district for the next five days has issued an orange warning from today and shows heavy rain from July 12, Monday, and so on until Wednesday.
They also estimate very heavy rain in isolated places.
However, Saturday saw heavy rain.
The Observatory IMD Colais recorded 0.2 mm of rain and IMD Santacruz Observatory recorded 6.1 mm rain on Saturday.
In the ending 24 hours 8.30 am on July 10, the IMD Colaba Observatory recorded 20.8 mm of rain and IMD Santacruz Observatory recorded 28.4mm rain.
IMD officials said this was caused by strengthening the southwest wind from the Arab Sea.
There may be low pressure formation above the west, the Bay of Northwest Bengal Bengal on July 11 which can increase rainfall.
There may be extensive rainfall on the west coast.
Heavy rain tends to continue for the next five days.
“Konkan and Goa can also witness very heavy rain during July 11 – 14.
The parts of the Ghat region in the state can also receive heavy rain,” said IMD.
