Kolkata: Calcutta High Court HakSi BJP officers about polling Civic after hearing stakeholders on Friday.
BJP Pinky Anand’s advice was handed over to the Chair of the Division of Prakash Shrivastava and Justice Lajakwaj that the West Bengal Election Commission (SEC) did not provide a specific date of the city poll other than the tentative time frame, when the court in December.

Mukhopadhyay stated it was impossible for DTK to provide certain dates of city polls because the commission was involved in the “consultative process” with the state government, as required below the 8 Western Bengal State Election Act, 1994.
The official then said that The consultative process is still on.
Bengal Advocate General N Mookherjee submits that the state and seconds will strengthen the date after considering the health situation (the impact of the omicron coronavirus variant), security settings and the selection of poll personnel.

Anand pointed to court that the SEC was holding the Kolkata Civic poll without using VVPats (Trail Audit Paper Verification Verification) when the use of VVPats was made mandatory throughout the country.
BJP advice was conveyed that the SEC violated the mandatory allowance and said that the KMC poll must be held.
The election commission of the State Election, on the other hand, is placed in front of the correspondence court held by the Indian Election Commission and various state secs for the availability of M2-EVM who have VVPats.
EC, in his response on May 5, said “The Commission has lent all available M2-EVMS stocks for various seconds.
This is not in a position to lend EVM to you to conduct local agencies”.
Bengal Sec then wrote to State SECS for the availability of EVM related to VVPat.
The SEC said only Pradesh SEC Arunachal was offered by 100 EVMS.
Semetik then told the court that a number of countries such as Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Odisha and Tripura did not use VVPats during local body selection.
Senior Adviser of the State Election Commission Jayanta Mitra proposed that the use of VVPats was not mandatory in the polls of local agencies.
He wondered about the BJP Applicant Court to hold the city polls at once but also pray to resist KMC polls.
