NEW YORK: Retired Athletes voiced their support for the four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka on Saturday after he said he would take a break from tennis after losing his enthusiasm for the competition.
The number three world suffered amazing defeat in the third round of the US Open on Friday before telling reporters he planned to take an unlimited break from sports.
“I feel like for me recently, like, when I win, I don’t feel happy.
I feel more like relieved,” Osaka said, months after openly revealed that he suffered from depression.
