Hyderabad: a PhD scholar from the University of Osmania, who is also the President of the State of Telangana Vidyarthi Sangam (TV), has been arrested by police Rachakonda in the case of prevention of activities that violate two-year law (UPA) on Sundays for allegedly having a link with Maois and inciting people to join.
According to LB Nagar Police, Srinivas Good City (38), which is a native population of Appannapet Village in Peddapalli District, has been arrested from Sarasiguda.
Goud had Maoist literature and he incited people to join a party.
“Srinivas Goud was also involved in collecting money from various people to support the Maoist party and he had worked on instructions of the leaders of the organization that were prohibited,” said LB Nagar Inspector V Ashok Reddy.
The police stated that he was one of the accused in the 2019 case ordered by Narla Ravi Sharma and his wife Anuradha, a member of the former CPI state committee (Maoist) of the party and other Bihar-Jharkhand units because it had a relationship with the party.
The police have so far captured 13 people in the case of 2019 registered at LB Nagar Police Station.
Good booked under Section 121, 121 (a), 120 (b) R / W 34 IPC, U / S 10, 13, 18, 18 (b) & 20 of UPA and SEC.
