Other countries looking for land for the center of pilgrims

Thiruvananthapuram: The country has been offered land in Tirupathi-Thirumala by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in exchange for land in Nilackal to establish a rest house for worshipers of Sabarimala from Andhra Pradesh.
Conference of the Minister and senior officials from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puduchhery and Tamil Nadu were held by the Minister of Devaswom and SC / ST Radhakrishnan on Tuesday, where participating countries discussed and increased the demand for safe and secure pilgrimage.
In the meeting, G Vani Mohan, Secretary of the Head of the Principal Secretary (Religion and Amal) of the Department of Andhra Pradesh, requested that Kerala should consider burdening land in Nitackal to establish a home break for worshipers from Andhra, because about 50% of the Sabarimala worshipers were from there.
In return, it will distribute land for Kerala in Tirumala-Tirupati, the main pilgrimage center in Andhra.
Telangana also asked land allotment in Nilack in September 2015, the UDF government has decided to give five hectares belonging to Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) in Nilackal to Telangana to build and operate accommodation and facilitation center for the Jabianimala pilgrims from there, with land ownership vesting with TDB.
The state government has also given five hectares to the Government of Karnataka through the agreement between TDB and the Government of Karnataka.
Instead, the Telangana Government has assigned one hectare at Mahendra Hills in Hyderabad to establish Kerala Bhavan to provide accommodation and tourism facilities for visitors from Kerala to Hyderabad.
However, land allotment for other countries has legal complications.
The state government’s decision then lived in the High Court.
“Land in Nilackal should be used for the development of the Sabianimala.
The problem has since lived in court.
Now, demand from other countries has been made again, Travancore Devaswom Board will discuss this issue in the following steps that must be taken,” said President Tdb N Vasu.
In the meeting on Tuesday, PUDUCHERRY PWD and LAKSHminarAyanan Minister of Law said that more than 50,000 worshipers would be expected to arrive at Sabarah from Puducherry.
Senior officials representing Telangana and Tamil Nadu at the meeting, asked the state to open the control room in the main centers on the way to Sabianimala.
