Jaisalmer: The tourism industry here will soon get a new rental of life with Spicejet announcing air services that connect Jaisalmer to several cities starting October 31.
Spicejet has announced a winter schedule where Jaisalmer will be connected with Jaipur, Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Airlines Trujet company has been operating flights between Jaisalmer and Ahmedabad.
Now, with more flights to other cities, there is optimism that domestic tourism will increase.
Flight service will continue until March 22, 2022.
Confirming the news, officers of Jaisalmer Airport Authority Mukesh Meena said that many airlines have announced plans to start air services to Jaisalmer from various cities during the tourist season.
Spicejet from Jaisalmer will start Boeing and ATR direct services to Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur starting October 31.
Direct connectivity to many cities will also benefit soldiers, air forces, BSF etc.
along with domestic and international tourists.
According to a new winter schedule, Spicejet from October 31 flight from Bengaluru will reach Jaisalmer at 4:25 pm and return at 4.55: 00 on Sunday, Monday and Friday.
Likewise, Spicejet from Delhi will reach Jaisalmer at 3:15 a.m.
and will depart at 3.45, from Mumbai it will reach Jaisalmer at 4,05pm and will depart at 4:35 a.m.
Similarly, flights from Jaipur will reach Jaisalmer at 2:30 a.m.
and will return at 3:10 a.m.
Trujet flights from Ahmedabad reached here at 11:40 a.m.
and departed at 12:10.
This service will continue until March 22, 2022.
Mayak Kumar, a businessman in Jaisalmer told Toi, “During Covid waves, almost all large and small hotels stay closed, and the staff sent back to their home.
Air service will be very profitable Jaisalmer.
City We are safe when it comes to Covid and I hope people will visit the city.
“Other entrepreneurs Manvendra Singh said that with flights from Mumbai and Delhi, the film unit would also be active.
Jaisalmer is also a new wedding destination because many entrepreneurs, industrialists, and politicians want to arrange a wedding here, flights will facilitate it, he added.
Manganganyaar singer Salary Khan Barna said the Jaisalmer tourism industry had been affected by the past two years.
Tourists don’t come here and because the Mangniyaar community depends on this industry, they are hit hard.
He hopes now they will all get relieved.
