Dhaka (Bangladesh): Bangladesh Fast bowling coach and former West Indies Bowler Ottis Gibson have decided that he will not renew his contract after completing a two-year service with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The 52-year-old children will join the Sultan Multan Multan Multan Super League (PSL) from the beginning of their campaign on January 27.
“Ottis Gibson doesn’t want to update the contract we received.
Local coach will keep a fast bowling department.
We hope to replace Gibson with another foreign coach soon,” said Jalal Yunus, Chairman of the Cricket BCB Operations Committee as reported by Espncricinfo.
The former West Indies Bowler has joined the Bangladesh team in January 2020, replacing Charl Langeveldt.
He was also the only voice from the establishment to urge Senior Player Mashrafe Moraza to retire from international cricket.
Under his guidance, Bangladesh Fast Bowlers took 13 numbers in the Munganui Mountain exam against New Zealand.
Ebadot Hossain, who took 6 for 46 in the second half, was one of the quick ones who benefited from the term of office of Gibson as Bowling coach.
