New Delhi: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday said the fortune of Tokyo’s athletes to the upcoming Olympics.
The Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23 to August 8.
The event was scheduled to be held last year, but must be postponed because of the Pandemic Covid-19.
“During a pandemic, we all have faced challenges including our athletes.
They don’t give up, they continue to prepare for the best of their abilities and I know they are directed to give their best performance at the Tokyo Olympics.
All athletes have worked very hard, right now, They need good support and expectations.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Monday has confirmed that Mary Kom boxer and the Manpreet Singh captain’s hockey team will be a flag bearer for the Indian contingent at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
Wrestler Bajrang Punia will be a flag bearer at the closing ceremony.
“The flag bearer for the Tokyo 2020 Indian contingent for the opening ceremony on July 23 is Mary Kom and Manpreet Singh.” IOA President Narinder Batra said in an official letter.
“The Flagbearer for the Indian contingent at the closing ceremony on August 8 will be Bajrang Punia,” the letter was stated again.
President Ioa Narinder Batra also confirmed that the total contingent for the Olympics will be around 126 athletes and 75 officials, and as a result, the total contingent will be around 201.
The contingent consists of 56 percent of men and 44 percent of women.
It has 76 quota places and will compete in around 85 medal positions.
