Mumbai: Tennis Champion Leander Paes on Friday said the non-fiction series “Break Point” will come to give a fan of insight into his broken professional partner but success with Sports Star Mahesh Bhupathi.
Led by the pair of filmmakers Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the Zee5 series tracked partnerships on and off-court between two Indian tennis icons, which was the first double team of the country to win at Wimbledon in 1999.
After a boy’s poster for Sports in this country, nicknamed “Indian Express”, they played together from 1994 to 2006 and reunited for their second task from 2008 to 2011.
The duo was public loss but has now reunited to share their stories with “Break Points”.
During the launch of the virtual trailer from the seven-section series, Paes said the project helped them put their careers in perspective and how things would be different if both were only communicated.
“With Mahesh, it is always difficult to get out words from him because he is not the most intense communicator.
But if I can see the record of the archive, in 1999, or in 2000 when the break happened, maybe things could have different.
“Maybe if our communication can be better then, and I will be responsible for my communication too, if we have ‘Break Point’ directly after winning Wimbledon and France Open in 1999, we can play for a few more years,” Paes said to reporters.
He said when they dig into the scrapbook for the past 25 years, including the Archival of Wimbledon, Olympics, Asian Games and French Open, there were many things that the duo had not yet had.
“Through the highest and the lowest position of Mahesh and career I both inside and outside the field, there are many things that we have not been intended.
There is a conversation that we are now a little wise to hence we can handle it and find closure to them.
There are some of our conversations more mature so we can laugh at ourselves, “he added.
In the partnership covering more than 12 years, Paes and Bhupia won three grand slam titles.
Paes said the most special aspects of the duo were their ability to gather to play For the country, regardless of their personal problems.
“Through all our differences, recognizing that we are different personalities, we have different emotions, we do our business differently, but at the same time the unconditional brotherhood we have.
It translates every time we play for the country.
“It’s very unique that most of the times we stand on the podium with the trophy in our hands, our relationship is the worst.
But can advance through it …
the brotherhood we have, he knows it’s whenever I need me, I will be there and I know The same thing for him, “he added.
Bhupathi praised the duo’s ability to switch whenever they need to be “regardless of what happened around us” as their greatest strength.
“The main takeaway point of the career is how to fight and succeed through difficulties.
Most of our success, especially at the end of our career come through all the difficulties we face through separation.” When we win gold in Doha in Doha Asian games, the amount of luggage we bring to court before the tournament begins is something that two normal tennis players will not pass the first round (with), forget to win a gold medal.
We have the ability to solve problems after we were included in a professional situation and finishing work, “added Bhupathi.
Made by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, with Piyush Gupta as a creative director,” Break Point “will flow on Zee5.
