Mumbai: more than two months after staff were killed at a manufacturing outlet and supplied additional nutrition, the police had registered a case against the owner of the outlet.
The allegations of negligence have been slapped in the FIR submitted by Bangur Nagar police recently.
Shashikant Bagde, the 34-year-old died, worked as a bender machine operator at the outlet located in the Malad West.
His brother, Shekhar, has pressed costs.
Shekhar said in his complaint that Shashikan would work as usual on August 14 around 9:30 a.m.
Then at around 1:40 a.m., Shekhar received a call from someone who asked him to rush to his brother’s workplace by car.
Shortly thereafter, Shekhar got another call, asked him to rush to a hospital like that in the Maldo.
In such a hospital, Shekhar watched his cousin, Deepak Sonawane, and asked him what was happening.
Shekhar was told that Shashikans swept when he fell to the bender and died.
Owners of outlets, accountants and other workers are present at Suchak Hospital.
According to Shekhar complaints, he was then told that Shashikant’s right hand entered the machine first and then his hand.
Two colleagues, Vinayak and Chandrakant Pandey, who were present in the place rushed forward and turned off the main switch.
They lift the alarm.
“With the help of other workers, the injured Shashikant was removed from the engine.
He then rushed to the hospital as he died.
His body was then sent to Ambedkar Babasaheb’s hospital in Kandivali for autopsy,” said a police officer.
In Fir which was submitted on October 23, the police accused the owner of the outlet did not maintain a bender machine properly and negligence.
