PATNA: A group of physicians of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences-Patna (AIIMS-P) on Thursday successfully removed an ovarian tumour weighing approximately 9kg by a 14-year-old woman hailing from a village at Saran.
After the woman was analyzed and proposed immediate operation, she analyzed Covid favorable and had been admitted because of its treatment from the hospital.
The physicians had to wait around for two weeks to tackle the operation.
The group headed by Dr Jagjit Pandey and also Dr Anil Kumar of operation department explained the tumour size has been 34×32 centimetre.
Dr Anil explained such a enormous tumour exerts high stress on different inner organs such as lungs and gut causing trouble in breathing and it had been utter neglect in seeking medical proposal within their household it proceeded on growing.
The incidence of ovarian cancer tumour in premature era is largely genetic.
