JAIPUR: More than 550 kids in Rajasthan have lost their parents at the Covid next wave.
While over 400 children lost their parents, 172 will not find one of the parents .
Back in Bundi, 70 kids lost either of the parents both while at Alwar the amount stood at 34.
At Jaipur, 29 children dropped their parents both while two missing among their own parents.
Back in Bhilwara, the amount stood .
“This information is for the weeks of March to May 21,” explained Rajasthan state commission for protection of child rights (RSCPCR) officials.
RSCPCR chairperson Sangeeta Beniwal stated,”Lots of kids were orphaned through the next wave and several were abandoned by their families when one of their parents perished as they had been not able to look after those.
We gathered the information through helplines, district and police government and today will determine the most effective possible methods to take care of these kids either via their families or residential maintenance ” At 33 districts, 411 kids lost parents to Covid while 172 dropped their parent and six minors were left handed.
Officials maintained that they’re often getting information about the kids who’ve been abandoned without health professionals and steps have been taken on priority basis to make sure they access shelter and food immediately.
The state government had announced it would care for children orphaned through the ordeal, despite the fact whether their parents died because of Covid or another ailment.
A few days before, the central authorities also announced that children orphaned because of Covid is going to be cared for by them.
