Mumbai: City anti-narcotics cell bandra unit on Wednesday arrested two people and seized Heroin and Mephedrone worth Rs 5.74 Crore.
The police arrested Sanjib Nimay Sarkar 39, a Goregaon resident in West Mumbai, and Salim Khan, 41, Malad residents.
Both have been ordered under strict NDPS laws.
On Wednesday, the police team consisting of Inspector of Sanjay Chavan, API Bandgar, Fire Karkar, PNA Pawar, PN Devarde, PN Mandhare, PN Mandhare, PC Rathod, PC Indulkar, WPC Jagtap, PND Rane accused DE near Goregaon Bus Depot.
While embezzlement and checking Sarkar, the police recovered 1.1kg Mephedrone alias and 1 kg of 80 GM heroin.
The police while Frisking Khan restored 150 grams of MD from him.
Collective drugs worth RS 5.74 Crore were confiscated.
In addition, researchers also confiscated Rs 65,000 of them.
DCP Dutta Nalawade, who led the operation, said, “Anc Mumbai has launched the operation on drug suppliers and we constantly work to track and capture them.”
