Owner Booked for Flouuting Bldg Norms

Written by news2in

Gurgaon: The City and State Meeting Department (DTCP) has been registered by the plot owner at Palam Vihar for allegedly violating building norms.
Developers, architects and buyers of illegal flats built on plots have also been ordered for the same offer.
As a Haryana building code, a maximum of four floors with one residential unit on one floor can be built.
In this case, officials said, developers built several residential units on each floor and sold them to different people.
In July last year, DTCP revoked the work certificate (OC) provided to the building.
In fact, this problem was revealed last year when the DTCP received a complaint about the construction of a residential tower on a housing plot of 1,000 square meters (number 1340) in Block B of Palam Vihar.
“During the site inspection, it was found that the owner had changed each floor into several occupancy units (more than one occupancy unit on each floor), which was a severe violation of the norm,” said DTP (enforcement) Batth Hospital.
“Previously we were interesting OC buildings, and now a case has been registered with the owner of the plot, architect and the owner flat at the Palam Vihar police station.” The developer was also accused of carrying out additional construction after getting OC from the department, officials said.
Building plans from approved housing plots, allow only karit and four floors with a maximum of four units – one unit on each floor.
According to the Haryana building code, 2017, “residential unit” means a building or its part is used or intended to be used by someone or family for a residence consisting of a kitchen, toilet and rooms.
In this case, the officials said, owners and developers build floors with several occupancy units on each floor and there were some illegal construction as well.
