Hyderabad: After a brief lull in Covid-19 cases in Hyderabad Hospital and the district, the oxygen bed is again occupied by Coronavirus patients, increasing other surge fears.
While the daily count fell below 1,000 cases, Active Caseload was at 10,000 cases and 4073 people were still struggling to live their lives in the hospital.
On Wednesday, a dozen hospitals in the city said they had a large number of patients on oxygen and added that the number of patients increased.
“Some hospitals do not have a bed, because we have been waiting for the government to come up with a tariff approved together.
But because there is a new surge in case, the bed will start filling out and all problems need to be resolved for people,” said Dr.
Kiswan Rao, President of the Telangana Hospital and Nursing Association (Thana).
Details of the residence of the latest hospital shows that among the main care centers of Covid-19 in the state, the Nizam Medical Institute (NIMS) has all the beds in all categories occupied, including 50 oxygen beds.
Gandhi Hospital has 30 new patients who are treated.
“Seeing a surge in case and acceptance, the government has delayed his decision to start non-covid-19 services in the hospital,” said a health department official.
At the chest hospital, 14 was treated in a bed of oxygen, while at King Koti Hospital, 39 people used oxygen treatment.
The ESI Hospital managed by the government also has 10 patients in the treatment of oxygen and there are half a dozen private hospitals in the city with a large number of patients on the bed of oxygen.
The bed scenario is worrying, especially in Khammam where all private hospitals are occupied.
Reliable sources informed that more than 100 beds were occupied at the Khammam government hospital.
The bed unit of intensive care units (ICU) has risen a little in Nizamabad too.
