NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has restricted the cost of transport of oxygen tanks, a executive arrangement stated on Tuesday. According to the purchase price, the most transport price of a B-type oxygen cylinder was fixed at Rs 50, whereas for D-type and Jumbo-type, it’s been capped at Rs 150 and Rs 250 per unit, respectively. Meanwhile, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, had restricted the highest price of Automated Medical Assistants (LMO) via an order issued on September 25 final year that will stay in force until September 30, 2021. The NPPA arrangement had said that the authorities of the state and Union Territories might be asked to correct the transportation costs that will be along with the highest price adjusted for LMO from the ministry system. The Delhi government had constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (Transport), GNCTD to further analyze the price-capping of oxygen tanks from town from the refillers and distribution of tanks by traders. The committee filed its report on May 22 and urged the rates to be billed as maximum transport cost per oxygen , ” the order stated. The order led Medicines Control, Delhi and subject magistrates to guarantee compliance of the arrangement by refillers and providers. The Delhi high court had asked the city authorities to check in the part of controlling the cost of oxygen tanks, so the cost where the cylinders must be provided to the customer is fixed/capped. The HC had stated that the price ought to be restricted after taking into consideration the purchase price of the petrol and other facets.
