Paddy failed the moisture test, 150 trolleys turned in Patiala

PATIALA: District Mandi District Officer in Patiala turned a farmer trolley published by rice because of higher water content than the boundaries permitted in grain.
In three days, farmers who carry their products in more than 150 trolleys are not allowed to dismantle their grains.
On the Nabha Division only, 40 trolleys were rejected on Wednesday, while 20 trolleys were rejected on Thursday.
On Friday, seven trolleys published with rice yields were not permitted to reduce grains because the water content was higher than 17%.
On the other hand, farmers face lack of space to reduce rice yields for procurement, following the leap in the arrival of the product.
On Friday, around 60,000 Mt Paddy arrived at the Patiala district grain market.
So far, around 4.5 LMT Paddy has arrived at the grain market.
Of the 4.4 LMT that had been obtained, 1.7 LMT had been purchased by PublicTrain, 1.13 LMT by markefed, 1.02 LMT by PUNSUP, 56,000 MT by Punjab State Warehousing Corporation, and 800 MT by the FCI.
There are around 103 ordinary grain markets, while administration has increased the number of temporary grain markets up to 105.
On Friday, farmers must wait long or lower their rice on the road in Saman, Patran and Patiala follow the lack of space.
“We unfortunately turned some trolleys loaded by Paddy because their water content is beyond the allowance.
We appeal to farmers to bring dry products, because time they will not be wasted,” said Patiala Bathroom Ajypal officer.
President BKU (Krantikari) Ranjit Singh said farmers were harassed on water content and officials failed to regulate space for their products.
Chandumajra to cm: Visit the Mandissana Legislator Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra visited the wheat market in a mock village and accused that the purchase has stopped because the arrival of the wheat market has crossed.
He said before several farmers near the border of Punjab and Haryana used to sell their rice in Cheeka and other grain markets from Haryana because the grain market was close to them but this year, following the central government rules improve their respective estimates In three years of data, farmers sold in the Punjab grain market, after the wheat market limit had crossed.
“Farmers are harassed under new rules, while the state government has proven to be a weaker government that cannot care for their farmers.
CM, instead of climbing electric poles and doing linemen work, must visit the grain market and resolve the problem faced by Farmers, “he said.
