Want to save the original language and dialect, the government, while completing the list of Padma Shri, including the author of the carbidood and poet Dhaneswar English who has written 19 books and 100 songs in carbi; Pahari Litterateur Vidyanand Sarek who has written and translated in SiMauri, the language on the verge of extinction; writer T Senka who preserves an endangered AO language; The author of Koshali Narasingha Orasad Teacher who has developed a Koshali dictionary, Odia dialect; And the Santhali writer from the Jhargram Kali Padang Saren.
Supporters of the form of rare arts that have received this year’s recognition include Mardal players from Kalimpong Kaajee Singh who have worked tirelessly to promote and preserve Gorkha folk music; Arjun Singh Dhumre who has carried out the Baiga tribal dance which is dying for four decades; Ram People’s Artist Ram Sahay Panday who has popularized the Rai dance from the expansion of the sustenous tribe with mixing it with a beats of Meridaam; Gamaka singer from Shivamogga H R Keshavamurthy who has dedicated six decades of his life to preserve and promote Kavya Vachana, a rare Certada form; 1971 Veteran War Sheesh Ram that painted the stories of courage; Kinnera’s last exponent, ancient musical instrument, Darshanam Moslaiji; Ramachanduriah, who was among the last artists who preserved the practice of ancient Koya read out oral history; Last defending ‘devadasi’ from cohort and seventh generation Sadir Dancers R Mutukannammal; and Ladakhi Wood Carver Tsering Namal.
Children of Desiandika Lata Desai 75 years who quit their work in the US to provide health care in Gujarat and Orthopedic Surgeon Sunkara Venkata Adinarayana Rao named for Shri Padma.
‘Yog Sewak’ Sivananda, A Padma Shri Awardee, is a 125-year-old manifestation of Yoga, Dhyan and rent.
Another interesting entry is that Professor IIT Delhi Emeritus Dilip Shahani which contributes to the design and development of the EVM and VVPat technology platform.
