CORAPUT: Padma Shri Awardee Social Workers Shanti Devi (88) died at the place of origin in Gunupur in Ringgada District in Odisha on Sunday night.
Octogenarian, who was awarded Padma Shri on November 21, was rushed to the sub-division hospital at Gunupur after he complained of chest pain and felt unconscious.
He was declared dead by doctors.
“Shanti Devi Ji will be remembered as the voice of the poor and underprivileged.
He worked selflessly to eliminate suffering and create a healthier and also only.

The Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik and Minister of Union Dharmendra Pradhan and Coraput MP Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, among others, among others, too conveyed sadness over the deaths of famous social workers.

Born on April 18, 1934 in Ballasore District, Shanti Devi married at the age of 17 years to Gandhi Follower Rig Das and has shifted to Coraput Regency.
He has established Ashram in Gobarapallin Village in Ringgada District and works tirelessly for the development and education of GIRLS Tribal Girls.
Then, he founded an ashram for leprosy patients in Jabarguda Blok Padmapur in Rayaganada Regency and after several years he shifted his base to Gunupur and established Seven Sejaj in 1964 for providing education to the tribal girls with the aim of making girls aimed at making Girls to make.
