PAGD leaders met in Srinagar, first after all-party meetings at J & K

Srinagar: Meeting of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) was held here on Sunday, the first meeting after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi on June 24.
The meeting of the leaders of the Alliance, who was seeking the restoration of the Special Status of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, which was revoked by the Center in August 2019, also came ahead of a member of a member of the Commission restriction to the United States.
A PAGD leader said the meeting was held at the residence of the Alliance Chairson and the National Conference (NC) of President Farooq Abdullah in the Gupkar City area here.
All the leaders of the Alliance, including the President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti, and the main spokesman M y Tarigami, attended the meeting, he said, adding that Vice President NC Omar Abdullah was also present.
The leader said it was the first meeting of the Alliance after meeting of the Prime Minister of all parties with the leaders of the mainstream political party Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi on June 24.
“The meeting was actually scheduled for June 29, but was also postponed because some personal commitment of the Alliance of the Deputy Chairperson of Mehbooba Mufti.
So it was held on Sunday,” he said.
He said leaders discussed MODI all-party meetings and current situations in Jammu and Kashmir.
“This alliance is committed to its essentially agenda – which is formed – and we reaffirm what we are fighting for and what we are looking for,” said the leader.
He, however, refused to share further details, said the head of the Alliance spokesman would abbreviate the media about the meeting.
When contacted, CPM leader Tarigami said the details of the meeting would be distributed on Monday.
Another Paged Leader and Masnain Masoodi’s NC Hasnain Member said the meeting issued rumors about some differences in the Alliance.
“I can only share that the meeting happened and every member faced it.
It must eliminate rumors that are happening.
There is no difference in the alliance and everyone is on the same page,” he told PTI.
