PAGD Meeting took place to discuss the way forward for special status recovery J & K

Srinagar: People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) began a meeting here on Tuesday to discuss the situation that applies in the United area and have a broader consultation on the way to restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
PAGD is an alliance of six mainstream political parties who seek the recovery of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir who was revoked by the center in August 2019.
The meeting began at the residence of the Alliance of Farooq Abdullah in Gupkar at 11 am.
Apart from the constituent’s head, several middle and lower leaders also participated in the meeting.
Speaking to reporters outside Abdullah’s residence, senior vice president of the National Conference of the National Conference – which is the Constituent of Alliance – Muzaffar Shah said the agenda of the meeting, regardless of the recovery of article 370, is launching a mass contact program.
Asked about administrative reports that denied permissions for meetings, he said a democratic meeting could not be rejected.
“We hold a meeting of democracy and the government cannot stop us to do it.
We will discuss how to reach out to the aspirations of each region,” Shah said.
Previously, a leader of the Alliance had said that the meeting would be different from the previous one.
“This time it is not only the leadership of the top of the constituent parties who have been invited to consult, but also the leadership of the middle Rung,” he said.
The meeting was called to discuss the situation that applies to Jammu and Kashmir and “have a broader consultation about various problems”, he added.
