SRINAGAR: The People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) will meet here Tuesday to go over the Centre’s invitation to mainstream political parties of both Jammu and Kashmir to an all-party assembly to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 24and also a pioneer of the group said.
Even the PAGD is the alliance of six parties in Jammu and Kashmir, for example, NC and the PDP, formed in the wake of this Centre’s August 2019 choice to nullify Article 370 and divide J&K to 2 union territories.
“The alliance assembly is scheduled to occur on Tuesday at 11 am,” that a PAGD pioneer told PTI.
He stated the assembly would occur in the Gupkar house of National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah, who’s also the chairman of this alliance.
The chief said that the alliance members could talk about the Centre’s invitation to mainstream political parties of Jammu and Kashmir for the discussions.
PAGD spokesman and senior CPM leader M Y Tarigami affirmed the assembly of this alliance will be scheduled to occur on Tuesday to go over the invitation.
“The practice of talks is on and we’re meeting on Tuesday to finalise (the conclusion about the invitation).
We’ll let our choice understood later,” he explained.
Invitations are sent from 14 governmental leaders in Jammu and Kashmir comprising four former CMs to get a high-level assembly to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi on June 24 that is anticipated to put the roadmap for holding assembly elections at the UT.
Even the PM’s meeting with all the parties in Jammu and Kashmir is a part of their Centre’s attempts to reinforce political procedures, such as holding elections, at the union territory.
Asked when the member parties of the PAGD have made the choice on whether to take part in the PM’s assembly into the alliance, then the PAGD leader mentioned previously stated the components were part of their”bigger alliance” and will explore the matter together.
“Seethe invitations are sent to human leaders rather than into this alliance and not to parties to deliver their agents…
However, as we have been collectively as the components of the bigger alliance, therefore, we’ll explore the problem together too,” he explained.
He added that a combined strategy would be”great for the health of our society and our political”.
“There are a commonality in our strategy this manner.
That’s what’s needed,” he explained.
A leader in the NC stated the parties have abandoned the choice about the involvement from the PM’s match into the alliance.
“See, it isn’t just about a meeting with the PM.
There needs to be a debate about the rack to be obtained, the way forwards and other similar things.
Even though the intra-party consultative procedure will last, the PAGD will meet and talk about the problem together,” he explained.
