Paine Backs Langer as an Australian coach after a ‘robust’ discussion

Melbourne: Australia Captain Tim Paine has been supported by Justin Langer as head coach after a senior player held a “strong” discussion with the former test opener in the last few days.
Langer’s role was under a microscope in the wake of the defeat of the heavy and heavy T20 series media reports that some players have become satisfied with the style of intense coaching.
Captain Paine’s test said he and other senior players had cleaned the air with Langer and that the coach could not be blamed for the decline of the team recently in West Indies and Bangladesh.
“It is important that itself, Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins and the leaders of the Australian cricket get around him, discussing things that need to be discussed and then get around him and support him to advance,” Paine said at Radio Station Sen Hobart on Friday.
“The last few days we really were able to galvanize the surroundings, had some really strong discussions where we wanted to take this cricket team, what we expected from him and what he would expect from us.” Australian cricket boss Nick Hockley this week said Langer was contracted until mid-2022 and praised him because he helped the team rally when he took over the wake of the ball-interference scandal in 2018.
“It was a little shame last week that many of the failures around Australian cricket had pinned Jl (Langer), “Paine added.
“That certainly doesn’t happen.
We haven’t lived up to our own standards in the field.” Australia sent a second-string of the white side of the ball to the Caribbean and Bangladesh after killing senior players to choose out of tours.
They struggled 4-1 by West Indies and 4-1 in Bangladesh, losing their first series that had been to South Asia, raising alarm bells ahead of the T20 World Cup in October-November.
Former Test Partner Langer Langer Matthew Hayden launched the defense of the coach and blamed the players for leaking team problems to the media.
“A lot of content coming out about this is really not polite for a guy who plays more than 100 test matches,” he told Melbourne Sen radio station.
“Even this humorous discussion between the senior player last night ….
Umm, hello! How is the meeting about the fact you are number three in the cricket test and number three in the ODI ranking, and number six in T20 ranks? “
