Karachi: U-19 Pakistani player and first-grade dough Zeeshan Malik on Thursday was suspended temporarily by the Pakistani cricket board because he did not report a binding approach where the National T20 championship was just concluded.
PCB suspends the North Cricket Association player under Article 4.7.1 of the anti-corruption code, which means he cannot take part in the activity related to cricket waiting for an investigation.
The PCB source confirmed that the anti-corruption unit was investigating the incident of Malik who was approached to improve the place during the championship match which he did not report immediately to the relevant authorities.
The National T20 championship concluded in Lahore on Wednesday.
Recently, Batsman Pakistan Umar Akmal continued his career after the remaining was suspended from all cricket activities since February 2020.
Akmal also had not reported the approach made to the spot improvement during the Pakistani Super League.
Akmal also had to pay a fine of 4.2 million rupees to PCB as part of the disciplinary action taken against him even though the Board was encouraged to ban three years to him.
Malik, a talented young opening that appeared for North Punjab in the national championship, was among several matches but his team got lost in the semifinals.
