AMRITSAR: The government has decided to not expand invitation to Sikh jathas from India that have been scheduled to go to Pakistan from June to celebrate the martyrdom anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev and death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Highly placed sources advised that the decision was taken on the information of Pakistan’s National Control Operation Centre (NCOC) at the aftermath of an explosion in Covid 19 instances.
Founded in April 2020, the NCOC is a principle firm which governs Covid 19 policies and their execution in the neighboring nation.
Especially, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) directed two Sikh jathas have been scheduled to depart Pakistan in June.
Independent Sikh jathas may also be delivered to Pakistan from Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee along with other little Sikh organisations.
