Pakistan Authorities Won’t Encourage Sikh jathas Against India amid Spike in Covid-19 Instances

AMRITSAR: The government has decided to not expand invitation to Sikh jathas from India that have been scheduled to go to Pakistan from June to celebrate the martyrdom anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev and death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Highly placed sources advised that the decision was taken on the information of Pakistan’s National Control Operation Centre (NCOC) at the aftermath of an explosion in Covid 19 instances.
Founded in April 2020, the NCOC is a principle firm which governs Covid 19 policies and their execution in the neighboring nation.
Especially, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) directed two Sikh jathas have been scheduled to depart Pakistan in June.
Independent Sikh jathas may also be delivered to Pakistan from Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee along with other little Sikh organisations.
Resources stated,”Looking in the worldwide spike in Covid-19 instances, jathas from different nations aren’t being permitted to take part in the spiritual occasions in June.” The SGPC is to Get the official information about the cancellation of invite to this Sikh jathas from the Pakistan government’s Evacuee Trust Property Board.
The Sikh body has also declared they would choose sending jathas to Pakistan depending on the Covid-19 scenario at that moment.
But lots of devotees had deposited their passports using all the SGPC for the projected journey to Pakistan in June 6 to 15 and June 21 to 30.
