New Delhi: State intelligence agent has warned of possible terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir after they get input regarding the movement of terrorists from across the border.
A senior official said that input was shared with state intelligence and security institutions concerned to prepare for unwanted situations.
He added that all intelligence agencies were assigned after they learned about the meeting between Pakistani terror leaders based in Pakistan Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) and Taliban leaders in Kandahar during the third week of August.
The meeting was attended by a group of Taliban leaders where JEM sought their support in the ‘India-Centric’ operation.
Further sources revealed that the political situation in Pakistan was also discussed at the meeting.
“We have ordered intelligence agencies to keep watching on social media.
On August 24, we received input on the movements of two terrorists from Pakistan who planned a grenade attack in Srinagar.
All agents concerned have been warned for coordination,” the official said.
All countries have been told to do security exercises and maintain an anti-terror unit with high alerts.
The Taliban entered Kabul on August 15, caused the civilian government to collapse.
