ISLAMABAD: Pakistan desired”reconciliation” with India however, the latter”didn’t reciprocate” and required steps that”vitiated the climate”, asserted Pakistani foreign ministry Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
“With India, we desired , the second Imran Khan came into office that he said if they’re going to take 1 step towards peace we’ll take two.
Regrettably, they didn’t reciprocate.
Unfortunatelythey took the measures and steps that vitiated the weather,” Qureshi said through a meeting with ToloNews.
Qureshi also attacked India because of its own actions of August 5, 2019.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have jeopardized since New Delhi abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution to reverse the special position of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
India’s conclusion drew a sharp response from Pakistan, which downgraded diplomatic ties and minding the Indian envoy.
New Delhi has stated before the worldwide community the scrapping of Article 370 has been its internal issue.
Meanwhile, India has stated it needs”ordinary neighbourly relations” with Pakistan and the onus will be on Islamabad to produce a conducive setting by accepting”plausible, verifiable” activity to never permit any land under its control to be used for cross country terrorism.
During a discussion on the Yearly report of the UN Security Council to the General Assembly on June 11, New Delhi stated that problems between India and Pakistan must be resolved bilaterally.
Back in February, both India and Pakistan had declared they had agreed to a ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) that was followed closely by Indus water discussions, athletic visas and other steps.
About India’s presence in Afghanistan, Qureshi stated sometimes it seems that New Delhi’s existence in the war-torn nation is possibly”bigger than it should be”.
“Clearly, you’ve got autonomous relations and you’ve got bilateral relationships and you’ve got every right to possess autonomous and spiritual relations with India.
You’ve got exchange with India.
They come and take out development work that’s totally fine with us” Qureshi said through the meeting.
His comments come after external affairs minister S Jaishankar fulfilled US Special Representative to Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad at Qatar’s capital Doha and also discuss the peace process in Afghanistan.
