Islamabad: Pakistani National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) reported more than 7,000 new Covid-19 cases for the second day in a row, because the Omicron strain quickly spread infection throughout the country.
According to the latest NCOC statistics, 7,195 cases of Coronavirus were recorded in the previous 24 hours, after 57,401 tests were completed throughout the country, with a positive percentage of 12.53 percent, reported international news.
Previously on Sundays, NCOC data reported 7,586 Covid cases in this country.
Pakistan is currently facing the fifth Coronavirus wave and the total number of cases reached 1.37 million, with eight more deaths from the Coronavirus which brought the total death amount to 29,105, according to NCOC numbers.
Furthermore, 1,113 patients remained in critical care, while 833 individuals recovered more than a pandemic in the previous 24 hours, so the total recovery became 1.269 million, according to government estimates, reported newspapers.
Meanwhile, there are 76,617 active cases in Pakistan at this time.
