Karachi: Comedian Veteran Pakistan and Personality Television Umar Shareef Critical illness, said his family on Saturday, seek help from the Prime Minister’s office to arrange a health visit to the US.
Umar, 66, a famous actor and producer in sub-continent, is currently being treated at a private hospital in Karachi.
He underwent a heart bypass surgery last year and because his condition had deteriorated, including memory loss.
“He is limited to wheelchairs now and he needs urgent medical attention in the US from a specialist.
If he cannot travel to the United States he must undergo open heart surgery here which can be fatal for his life,” he said Zareen’s wife.

Videos and photographs of actors were also shared where he was seen sitting in a wheelchair, looking looked unhealthy.
Governor of Sindh Imran Province and Federal Minister Fawad Chawdhary visited Umar at the hospital and convincing his wife’s arrangement was made to fly actors to the United States.
Umar began his career at 14 years with comedy standing.
He gained popularity in the sub-continent in the 1980s, the 1990s and early 2000s.
He received a national award for ‘best directors’ and ‘best actors’ in 1992 for the film Superhit ‘MR 420’.
He also hosted from a very popular Geo TV showing ‘The Shareef Show’.
