The boat, named ‘Yaseen’, was intercepted by Vessel ‘Ankit’ during operational patrols on Saturday night.
When the crew members failed to justify their presence in Indian waters after being questioned, the ICG ship arrested him, the ICG officer said.
The boat tried to escape towards Pakistan’s waters but the ICG ship acted quickly and arrested him, the officer said.
“About 2,000 kg of fish and 600 liters of diesel seized from the ship,” said an officer, adding that the ship was registered in the airport in Pakistan.
The boat caught was pulled to Porbandar for detailed investigations, said Source of ICG.
Sometimes, Pakistani fishing boats cross the Notional international maritime boundary and enter Indian waters during fishing expeditions.
There is also an increase in the case of a boat used to smuggle drugs instead through Gujarat Beach.
ICG on September 15 last year understand Pakistani boat with 12 crew members in Indian waters from Gujarat Beach.
On December 20, Pakistani fishermen with six crew members carrying 77kg heroin worth around Rs 400 Crore were arrested in Indian waters from Gujarat Beach.
