Pakistani fishing boat with 10 crew members seized Gujarat Beach

New Delhi: Pakistani fishing boat, with 10 crew members, confiscated in Indian territorial waters off the coast of Guard by Coast Guard on Saturday night.
Pakistan’s ship named ‘Yaseen’ is around six to seven miles in Indian waters in the Arabian sea when intercepted by the Beach of Ankit patrol guards, officials said on Sunday.
“The boat was originally trying to escape to find the approaching coastal ship .
“The boat was being drawn to Porbandar for further investigation and interrogation of crew members.
There was a sharp increase in an effort to smuggle narcotics such as heroin from Pakistan to Indian coast in the past few months,” he added.
Fishermen from both countries also often deviate across the international maritime boundary line to find “profitable catches”.
Hundreds of them ended in their respective prisons because of the lack of demarcation of clear territorial waters.
