Jammu: Pakistani involvement in drone attacks on air transport stations here cannot be ruled out as Lashkar-e-Taiba (leave), a country-based terrorist group, was highly thought to be behind him, Jammu and police chief Kashmir Dilbag Singh said on Friday.
Singh said the use of armed drones by terrorists based in Pakistan is “a very serious threat” to the security system and there is a need to have an article on the security of places and vital people.
“We have a very serious and strong suspicion that allows involvement in this case …
because it allows involvement and his clothes run from Pakistan, so by means of Pakistani involvement cannot be ruled out,” the police chief told reporters to reporters in the sidelines of the function Kathua district.
The extent to which Pakistani institutions involved will be known only known when investigations last further, he added.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken an investigation into his first drone attack at the Air Force Indian Station (IAF) at Jammu Airport on June 27.
Two bombs were dropped from the drone, causing a minor injury to two pilots.
The first explosion tore the roof of a one-story building in the technical area of your airport watched by IAF.
The second is on the ground.
Explosive cocktails, including RDX, are believed to have been used.
Referring to the seizure of improvised explosive devices 5.5-kg (IED) in Jammu hours after the twin bells at IAF station, Singh said, “They plan to trigger an explosion in a crowded place with the aim of causing victims.
But fortunately we can intercept and capture fellow (terrorists) who give certain leads and we can restore IEDs and avoid large terror attacks.
“Director General of Police (DGP) said more than a dozen incidents had occurred before where let’s get involved in dropping weapons, Ied ready to use and narcotics using drones.
Asked whether the IED recovery and IAF bombing was connected, he said, “I will not be able to say at this time that both are connected.
But we try to prove if there is a relationship.” DGP said it was very possible that the drone came from the opposite border.
“In the previous drone dirt, the drone covers a distance of 10 to 15 km and the airport of the airport Jammu (from the international border) is no more than that.
Certain routes are thought to have been taken by the drone.
If it comes from the opposite also comes in a range of 15 km,” he said.
Singh said there was a drone drone incident in Akhnoor and Arnia on the outskirts of Jammu and Samba and the initial indication of the people who had been caught pointing towards him.
“It is very possible that it (drone) has come from across but other corners will not be ruled out at this stage,” he said.
Responding to questions about threats caused by the use of armed drones, Singh said it was a very serious threat to the security system.
“Under the international protocol, this kind of activity should not happen but if it has begun and some terrorist clothes are involved in this matter, it rises a serious threat.
We have the security of vital places and important people.
The threat does not respect security parameters , “he said.
