Palamu: Women throw children into the well after marrying hubby

Daltonganj: A mother threw her two little girls into wells in Palamu angry after her husband married another woman.
On Sunday, Chhaterpur police restored the body of two small girls from the well in Kachingpur Village.
The deceased was identified as Sonam Kumari (6) and Pari Kumari (4).
The police source said the girls were thrown early in the morning on Sundays.
A police officer of the Chhaterpur police station, Nilamber Yadav, said, “We have detained Mother, Anita Devi.
He confessed to us that he had thrown his daughter to the well and repented for what he did.” Police said he was abandoned by her husband, Arjun Yadav , and live with his parents in Kachingpur.
Police said that Yadav married another woman and lived with her second wife.
Asked whether Yadav, a marginal farmer, took care of him or daughters, the police said he had given a piece of land to Anita to defend himself.
