Jerusalem: A Palestinian boy who was injured by the fire of Israeli soldiers in the West Bank which was occupied on Wednesday had died of his injuries, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Mohamad al-natural, 12, died in the city of Beit Omar, to the northwest of the City of Flashpoint Hebron, after he was shot in the chest while traveling by car with his father, the ministry said in a statement.
He was the second young Palestine who died because of the injury supported by Israeli fire in a few days.
In a statement, the Israeli army said the army had seen men out of the vehicle near the military checkpoint and began digging on the ground.
“The troops approached the scene carefully and at the time of the examination found two bags, one of which contained a newborn baby’s body,” he added.
When a vehicle approached the same place a few moments later, the army “concluded that it was the same vehicle as before” and tried to stop him by shouting and firing shots into the air.
When the vehicle did not stop, a soldier opened fire on the wheel.
“We saw a claim that a Palestinian minor was killed as a result of a shot,” said the army.
“The incident was being reviewed by a senior commander officer.
In addition, military police have launched an investigation of the state of the event.” On Saturday a 17-year-old Palestinian died of the wound he received the day before.
Mohammed Munir Al-Tamimi, who suffered gunshot wound, died at the hospital, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a day after violence in the village of Beita Palestine.
