PALGHAR: A 40-year-old man was killed allegedly by unknown people and the body was discharged in the forest in the Palghar Maharashtra district, police said on Monday.
The victim, Gulab Lakhan, a resident of Jawhar Taluka here, was lost on Saturday after his family members launched his search.
He was found dead in the forest in the Pimpalssheth area on Sunday, officials from the Jawhar police station.
The body was sent to postmortem and a registered case against unknown people under the Indian Criminal Code Section 302 (murder), he said.
The motive behind the murder was not confirmed, he said.
